Kim Jong-un Sends Condolence Letter to Xi Jinping Over Passenger Plane Crash

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] Kim Jong-un, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of North Korea, sent a letter of condolence to Xi Jinping, President of China, regarding the Chinese passenger plane crash.
According to the Korean Central News Agency on the 22nd, Chairman Kim stated in the letter, "I received the unfortunate news of many casualties caused by the passenger plane accident in your country, and I express my deep condolences to Comrade General Secretary, the Chinese Party, government, people, and the bereaved families of the victims."
He continued, "Under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, with the General Secretary at its core, I sincerely hope that the Chinese people will quickly overcome the aftermath of the damage, and that the bereaved families will overcome their grief and lead stable lives."
The letter of condolence was sent on the 21st, the same day the passenger plane accident occurred. In China, a China Eastern Airlines passenger plane departing from Kunming, Yunnan Province, and heading to Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, crashed in a mountainous area near Teng County, Wuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region the previous day.
