[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] The international hacker group Lapsus, which hacked NVIDIA and Samsung Electronics servers to steal confidential data, has now targeted LG Electronics.
On the 22nd, Lapsus announced via Telegram that they had obtained employee and service accounts on the LG Electronics website. They also released an 8.3MB text file. Lapsus stated that they would soon release Confluence data used by LG Electronics and suggested that LG Electronics should form a new security team.

LG Electronics responded by identifying the leaked data and strengthening security measures. The company acknowledged Lapsus's hacking attack, stating, "Some email addresses of LG Electronics employees were leaked," and added, "No customer information was included."
