Biden: "Russia Launches Hypersonic Missiles... Also Considering Use of Biochemical Weapons"
[Asia Economy New York=Special Correspondent Joselgina] U.S. President Joe Biden confirmed that Russia, which invaded Ukraine, has launched hypersonic missiles. He also repeatedly warned that there are clear signs that Russia is considering the use of biochemical weapons.
According to CNN and others, President Biden stated on the 21st (local time) at the Business Roundtable CEO quarterly meeting held in Washington DC, "Russia has launched hypersonic missiles." He added, "As you know, it is a significant weapon," but assessed, "There is little difference except that it carries a warhead and is almost impossible to stop."
President Biden analyzed that "there is a reason they are using hypersonic missiles," explaining that Vladimir Putin, cornered, did not anticipate the strength of Western unity, which is why he is using more extreme tactics. He explained that Russian attacks could become more brutal in the future.
Along with this, President Biden also warned that Russia might engage in a 'false flag operation,' including the possibility of biochemical weapon attacks in Ukraine. A false flag operation refers to manipulating events to make it appear as if the opponent attacked first, thereby justifying an attack.
He pointed out, "(Russia) claims that the Ukrainian government is using biochemical weapons produced under U.S. leadership," calling it a "blatant lie." Furthermore, he noted that this is clear evidence that President Putin is considering the use of biochemical weapons in Ukraine.
President Biden emphasized, "Whenever he starts talking about what NATO, Ukraine, or the U.S. might do, it means he is preparing for it," adding, "This is not a joke."
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it used the hypersonic missile Kh-47M2 'Kinzhal' in Ukraine.
