'Korea's No. 1' Park Min-ji "Returning as Promotional Model After 2 Years"
Announcement of 11 KLPGA Tour 14th Promotion Models, Jang Hana Earns 6th Title, Park Hyunkyung, Lim Heejung, and Cho Ayeon Selected for 3 Consecutive Years
[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] Park Min-ji (24, NH Investment & Securities), the 'No. 1 in Korea,' has been selected as the face of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA).
On the 21st, the KLPGA Tour announced the 14th generation promotional models for 2022, including Park Min-ji. Last year, Park won six titles, including one major, earning honors for most wins, prize money, and Player of the Year. She set a milestone by becoming the first to surpass 1.5 billion KRW in season prize money, marking her return as a promotional model after two years since 2020. She said, "I first feel the responsibility to perform well as the face of the association," and added, "I will show many sides worthy of a promotional model, so please support me."
Jang Ha-na (30, BC Card), who became the first KLPGA player to surpass 5 billion KRW in cumulative prize money, was also selected as a promotional model. This marks her third consecutive year since 2020 and her sixth time since joining the KLPGA. The 2000-born peers Park Hyun-kyung and Lim Hee-jung (both Korea Land & Housing Corporation), and Cho Ah-yeon (Dongbu Construction, all 22) will communicate with fans for the third consecutive year. Kim Jae-hee (21), Ahn Ji-hyun (23, both Mediheal), Song Ga-eun (22, MG Saemaeul Geumgo), and Heo Da-bin (24, Hanwha Q CELLS) were selected as promotional models for the first time in their careers.

Lee So-mi (SBI Savings Bank) and Lee Ga-young (NH Investment & Securities, both 23) also joined as promotional models. They were selected through an online vote among 78 players holding regular tour cards this year. The vote attracted a record number of participants (9,974) and votes (25,920), drawing attention. They will participate in various tournament events as well as hosting and organizing events. Photos of these players will be used in calendars, New Year's cards, stickers, and various other materials.
