Korea Roche Diagnostics and Gangwon National University Hospital Sign MOU to Promote Multidisciplinary Care Using Digital Technology
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Roche Diagnostics Korea announced on the 21st that it has signed a mutual business agreement (MOU) with Gangwon National University Hospital to promote multidisciplinary care using digital technology.
Through this agreement, Gangwon National University Hospital will introduce Roche Diagnostics Korea's 'Navify Tumor Board' to operate patient-centered multidisciplinary care.
The Navify Tumor Board consolidates patient-related data necessary for multidisciplinary care, such as biopsy and imaging information, into a single dashboard and supports immediate identification of similar patient cases.
Using this, Gangwon National University Hospital plans to first establish a standard multidisciplinary care process for respiratory diseases including colorectal cancer and lung cancer, and integrate related data and systems. Starting with this, the two institutions plan to expand multidisciplinary care to other cancer types or diseases.
Additionally, Evidnet, a medical big data specialized venture company, will participate as a 'data partner' in this project, responsible for the technical linkage between Gangwon National University Hospital's electronic medical records (EMR) and the Navify Tumor Board.
Kit Tang, CEO of Roche Diagnostics Korea, said, "It is meaningful that the Navify Tumor Board can support medical professionals' decision-making so that patients can receive optimized treatment through this agreement," adding, "Roche Diagnostics Korea will continue to innovate for patients to contribute to the realization of personalized medicine."
