On the 20th, Top Shooters from Across the Nation Gather at Changwon International Shooting Range
2022 Korea Industrial Shooting Federation President's Cup National Shooting Competition Held
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The '2022 Korea Business Shooting Federation President's Cup National Shooting Competition' will be held for five days starting from the 20th at the Changwon International Shooting Range in Gyeongnam.
Hosted by the Korea Business Shooting Federation and organized by the Gyeongnam Shooting Federation, the event is expected to feature outstanding athletes from business teams nationwide, serving as a cradle for record improvements that elevate the level of domestic shooting to the next stage.
This year, about 200 athletes from 25 teams nationwide will compete in all international competition events except for the 300m and 50m running target (moving target) events.
Due to the explosive increase in COVID-19 infections, the competition will be held without spectators, and quarantine measures and inspections will be conducted throughout the event.
Since the first competition in 2009, Changwon City has hosted 11 out of 13 competitions up to last year, and Mayor Heo Seong-mu received a plaque of appreciation from the Korea Business Shooting Federation in 2020 in recognition of his support for hosting the event.
A city official said, “The Changwon International Shooting Range is equipped with cutting-edge facilities such as a scientifically designed layout that minimizes athlete movement and an electronic target system for all events,” adding, “We will provide generous support so that athletes can fully demonstrate the skills they have honed.”
