Okgeun Oh Reappointed as Daishin Securities CEO... Common Stock Cash Dividend Set at 1,400 Won
[Asia Economy Reporter Junho Hwang] The reappointment of Oh Ik-geun as CEO of Daishin Securities has been confirmed. Daishin Securities announced that the company’s proposed dividend plan and director appointments were approved at the 61st general shareholders’ meeting held at the Daishin Wirye Center at 9 a.m. on the 18th.
At the shareholders’ meeting, the agenda items approved included △approval of financial statements and appropriation of retained earnings △appointment of directors △appointment of outside directors as audit committee members △approval of the limit on directors’ remuneration.
CEO Oh Ik-geun said in his opening remarks at the meeting, “Last year, Daishin Securities recorded operating revenue of 3.6353 trillion KRW, operating profit of 885.5 billion KRW, and net income of 615.8 billion KRW based on consolidated financial statements. Thanks to the generous support of our shareholders, we have become a company that has paid cash dividends for 24 consecutive years.”
The shareholders’ meeting approved the board’s proposal of a dividend of 1,400 KRW per common share. Preferred shares will receive 1,450 KRW, and second preferred shares will receive 1,400 KRW in dividends.
The appointment of directors was also finalized. Vice Chairman Yang Hong-seok and CEO Oh Ik-geun were reappointed as inside directors. Regarding outside director appointments, Kim Byung-chul, a Financial Services Commission review member, and lawyer Lee Chang-se were reappointed, and Kim Seong-ho, chairman of Haengbok Sesang, was newly appointed.
