On the 18th, Hyosung announced that it visited the Goodwill Store Eunpyeong Branch in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, and delivered a 1-ton truck to replace the aging vehicle. The truck supported by Hyosung in 2013 had been used to collect donated items from donors, and this time a new vehicle was provided.
Since 2013, Hyosung has invested about 700 million KRW to create jobs for people with disabilities, partnering with the Together Foundation to open the Goodwill Store Eunpyeong Branch. Currently, five people with severe disabilities and two North Korean defectors work at the Eunpyeong branch. They sort and sell donated items. Employees from Hyosung’s headquarters and regional business sites continuously participate in donations. So far, more than 85,000 items have been donated.
Vice Chairman Cho Hyun-sang has been serving as the head of the Hyosung Sharing Volunteer Group since 2015. According to Hyosung, Vice Chairman Cho has consistently emphasized that "companies should build a society where neighbors in need can become self-reliant." Regarding this delivery ceremony, Vice Chairman Cho said, "I am very pleased that the Goodwill Store, which has been working with Hyosung, provides jobs for people with disabilities and helps improve awareness," adding, "We will continue to support to create a warm and healthy society."
