Yoon Seok-yeol Transition Team to Hold Plaque Ceremony Tomorrow Morning for "Official Launch"

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol's Presidential Transition Committee (Transition Committee) will officially launch on the 18th.
According to the Transition Committee on the 17th, a plaque ceremony for the Transition Committee will be held around 10:30 a.m. on the 18th at the entrance of the Transition Committee building in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Ahn Cheol-soo, the chairman of the Transition Committee, and committee members are expected to attend this event.
The Transition Committee will comprehensively review the current government's work status until May 9, one day before President-elect Yoon's inauguration, and establish the policy direction of the new government.
Earlier, President-elect Yoon finalized the appointment of 24 transition committee members on the same day. Kim Eun-hye, the spokesperson for the president-elect, stated that the appointments for the remaining transition committee members, including the Economic Subcommittee 2, have been completed and that "once the verification of expert and working-level members is finished, the plaque ceremony is scheduled for tomorrow morning." She added, "We promise to proceed swiftly to establish a competent and effective government."
The Transition Committee appointed Professor Lee Chang-yang of KAIST's Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering as the secretary of Economic Subcommittee 2, responsible for job creation, deregulation, and real estate and industrial policies. Professors Wang Yoon-jong of Dongduk Women's University, Yoo Woong-hwan, former SK Innovation Group leader, and Go San, CEO of Tide Institute and an 'astronaut,' were appointed as transition committee members. For the Science, Technology, and Education Subcommittee, Representative Park Sung-joong of the People Power Party was appointed as secretary, and Professors Kim Chang-kyung of Hanyang University's Creative Convergence Education Institute and Nam Ki-tae of Seoul National University's Department of Materials Science and Engineering were appointed as committee members.

Additionally, Representative Im E-ja of the People Power Party was appointed as secretary of the Social Welfare and Culture Subcommittee, and Professors Ahn Sang-hoon of Seoul National University's Department of Social Welfare, Baek Kyung-ran of Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine, and Kim Do-sik, Deputy Mayor for Political Affairs of Seoul, were appointed as committee members. With former lawmaker Shin Yong-hyun joining as a spokesperson and committee member, the Transition Committee now comprises a total of 24 members.
