Kim Su-young, Gwangju Seo-gu Council Member, Receives 'Excellence in Legislative Service Award' from National Women Local Councilors Network
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Kim Soo-young, a member of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Council, received the ‘Excellence in Legislative Award’ organized by the National Network of Women Local Councilors.
Councilor Kim proposed a policy plan to utilize the second-floor unused space of local senior citizen centers as community spaces for residents.
Her efforts were recognized for expanding residents' convenience by transforming 11 unused spaces, including Gwangcheon Senior Center, into community spaces and rest areas for sanitation workers.
Councilor Kim said, “Through this successful case, we are planning to actively open up unused spaces in public buildings so that more residents can benefit. I will take a step forward in legislative activities to create a village where all residents are satisfied and enjoy living.”
