According to the Patent Attorneys Association on the 17th, patent attorney Hong Jang-won (51, Hana Patent Law Firm, Candidate No. 1) is the current president of the association and is challenging for re-election based on his achievements over the past two years.
In this election, Hong pledges ▲ securing representation rights in patent infringement lawsuits ▲ eradicating unqualified persons' encroachment on professional fields ▲ securing patent attorneys' leadership in the intellectual property valuation market ▲ abolishing automatic patent attorney qualification for lawyers ▲ improving laws and policies for fee normalization ▲ creating new businesses to expand the patent attorney profession ▲ expanding member services focused on public livelihood issues.
Patent attorney Eom Jeong-han (42, BLT Patent Law Firm, Candidate No. 2) attracts attention as the youngest candidate ever to run for the association's presidency.
