Financial Services Commission Imposes 12.9 Billion KRW Fine on Three Celltrion Companies
[Asia Economy Reporter Ji Yeon-jin] The Financial Services Commission imposed fines exceeding 12 billion KRW on three Celltrion companies for violating accounting standards.
On the 16th, the Financial Services Commission held a regular meeting and announced that it decided to impose a fine of 600,000 KRW on Celltrion for violating accounting standards. Two individuals, including the CEO of Celltrion, were fined 415 million KRW, and Han Young Accounting Corporation, the external auditor of Celltrion, was fined 495 million KRW.
Additionally, Celltrion Healthcare, which prepared financial statements in violation of accounting standards, was fined 6.04 billion KRW, and three individuals including the CEO were fined 483.9 million KRW. Han Young Accounting Corporation was also fined 570 million KRW for negligence in auditing Celltrion Healthcare.
