Vietnam Lifts Quarantine Requirement for Entrants from 13 Countries Including Korea Upon Presentation of Negative Test Certificate
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] Quarantine requirements will be lifted upon entry to Vietnam if travelers present a negative COVID-19 test certificate.
On the 16th, the Vietnamese Ministry of Health announced new quarantine guidelines related to entry.
Accordingly, foreigners entering Vietnam who receive a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test within 72 hours before departure and test negative can engage in activities without quarantine after arrival.
Those who receive a negative rapid test result within 24 hours before departure are also exempt from quarantine.
Entrants who did not take a test before departure will be placed in quarantine facilities initially, and if they test negative within 24 hours after arrival, they will be allowed to engage in outside activities.
Children under 2 years old are exempt from testing and quarantine.
The day before, the Vietnamese government decided to fully open tourism entry by exempting visas for travelers from 13 countries including South Korea.
The eligible countries are South Korea, Belarus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
