Gyeongnam Province Donates 40 Million Won to Uljin and Samcheok... Supports Firefighting Helicopters, Vehicles, and Personnel During Fire Incident
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Gyeongsangnam-do delivered 40 million won in donations on the 16th to support the recovery of wildfire-affected areas and aid disaster victims in Uljin, Gyeongbuk, and Samcheok, Gangwon.
The province supported two firefighting helicopters in the affected areas for nine days from the 4th to the 13th, and dispatched 342 firefighting personnel and 126 firefighting vehicles to the site.
They also prepared 200 snack packages and delivered them to on-site volunteers through the Gyeongnam Volunteer Center.
The donated funds through the National Disaster Relief Association will be used to create temporary shelters for disaster victims who lost their homes to the fire, as well as to provide relief supplies and medical support.
