View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sunmi] The Korea International Trade Association (KITA), in collaboration with Gangnam District Office and the Korea Venture Business Association, successfully facilitated agreements between three startups and U.S. companies through the ‘Startup Overseas Testbed Challenge in USA 2nd Cohort’ program held from October last year to February this year.
According to KITA on the 16th, the second cohort program involved 11 domestic startups in fields such as logistics and information technology (IT) solutions, artificial intelligence (AI) security detection solutions, and alternative meat. These startups conducted 19 proof-of-concept (PoC) projects with U.S. companies including Walmart, the University of Arkansas, and Simmons Foods.
Among them, three startups?‘DeepingSource,’ a data anonymization technology startup; ‘S-Lab,’ a temperature-controlled logistics platform startup; and ‘AI Spera,’ an AI and machine learning cybersecurity solution startup?signed nondisclosure agreements (NDAs) with major U.S. retail and IT companies and are currently discussing further collaborative projects.
Kim Taehoon, CEO of DeepingSource, stated, “Through our patented video data anonymization technology, we perfectly protect personal information while maintaining AI usability and providing visualized analysis tools.” He added, “Recognizing this technological capability, we are currently negotiating a project request to analyze pedestrian traffic around CCTV near the Times Square digital billboard in New York.” He further said, “This was an opportunity to glimpse the potential for our technology to expand into various industries in the future.”
