View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol, whose luncheon meeting with President Moon Jae-in was postponed, had a 'Kimchi Jjigae' lunch with his aides near his office in Tongui-dong, Jongno-gu on the 16th.
On that day, President-elect Yoon walked from the Financial Supervisory Service Training Center in Tongui-dong to a Kimchi Jjigae restaurant for lunch. Ahn Cheol-soo, the head of the transition committee, Kwon Young-se, the vice chairman, Won Hee-ryong, the planning committee chairman, Jang Je-won, the chief secretary, and Seo Il-jun, the administrative director, were also present.
Kim Eun-hye, the spokesperson for the president-elect, explained, "During the process of discussing the operation of the transition committee and the future national policy direction, the meeting continued at a nearby Kimchi Jjigae restaurant," adding, "It is a step to go into the field where the people are, to make real eye contact and offer comfort."
After about 20 minutes of lunch, President-elect Yoon took a walk near Gyeongbokgung Station. While walking, he greeted citizens and responded to requests to take photos together with his cellphone, according to Spokesperson Kim.
