On the 16th, the city hung banners at six universities in the region and visited campus libraries and dormitories to distribute promotional materials to students.
Since September 2019, Changwon City has been promoting the University (Graduate) Student Living Stability Support Project to reduce the economic burden on young people moving to the city for university admission, support stable academic life, and establish a foundation for regional settlement.
The program targets enrolled students at universities (graduate schools) located in Changwon City who have moved from other cities or counties at least one year before the moving-in date and have continuously resided in Changwon City for more than three months.
Support is provided at 60,000 KRW per month for up to three years, with a maximum amount of 2,160,000 KRW depending on the duration of residence and enrollment.
Applicants can apply by visiting the administrative welfare center of their local eup, myeon, or dong with their ID and certificate of enrollment. The support funds are paid monthly via the mobile Changwon Sarang Gift Certificate Nubijeon.
