Starbucks Faces Supply Disruptions for Some Coffee Beans Amid Global Logistics Crisis
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Due to the global logistics crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Starbucks Korea recently experienced disruptions in coffee bean supply.
According to the franchise industry on the 14th, Starbucks temporarily suspended store orders for some coffee beans starting early this month. This applies to drip coffee, cold brew beans, and some beans at Reserve stores.
Starbucks plans to prioritize importing popular beans such as those used for Americano through air logistics to ensure no disruption in the coffee bean supply. They expect the supply to stabilize once the coffee bean stock is replenished within this week.
