Ukraine, Russia Begin 4th Round of Talks... "Demand Immediate Ceasefire, Troop Withdrawal" (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Russia and Ukraine have entered the fourth round of negotiations to end the war, AFP reported on the 14th (local time).
Mykhailo Podolyak, Ukraine's chief negotiator and a close aide to the president, posted a photo on his Twitter account showing a video conference with Russian officials, stating, "The negotiations have begun, and both sides are explaining their specific positions."
He added, "The negotiations are not going well, but they are progressing."
In a video statement posted on his Twitter account before the talks, Podolyak said, "We will demand an immediate ceasefire and the withdrawal of Russian troops to end the war that has lasted more than two weeks."
He said, "Only after peace, an immediate ceasefire, and the withdrawal of all Russian troops are achieved can we discuss regional relations and political differences."

Meanwhile, ahead of the talks, the Ukrainian government announced plans to operate 10 humanitarian corridors to allow civilians trapped in villages near the capital Kyiv and in eastern Luhansk to evacuate safely.
