Partial Opening of Exhibition Hall for Smart Hamyang Museum Construction Project

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Hamyang Museum in Gyeongnam will partially open its exhibition hall from the 15th to April 1st to establish a 'Smart Museum.'
Hamyang County was selected in 2021 for the Smart Public Museum Construction Support Project hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, securing 100 million KRW in national funding.
With a total project budget of 200 million KRW (100 million KRW national, 10 million KRW provincial, 90 million KRW county), the county plans to complete the smart docent system, online platform (VR) exhibition hall, and artifact database work by the end of June and operate them from July.
During this period, photography and 3D shooting will be conducted to build the exhibition artifact database and VR exhibition hall.
The permanent and special exhibition halls will open alternately from Tuesday to Friday, and will operate normally on weekends and holidays. The schedule may vary slightly depending on the shooting timetable.

Through this project, the county aims to create a digital museum where residents can access exhibition guidance systems using the latest information and communication technology (ICT) and experience online and offline museum content. This will make it easier to access and utilize the Hamyang Museum.
