Ministry of Unification: "North Korea, Stop Provocative Acts... Corporate Property Rights Must Not Be Violated"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The Ministry of Unification on the 14th urged North Korea to "stop acts of tension" regarding its recent restoration of the Punggye-ri nuclear test site and preparations for additional launches of new intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs).
Lee Jong-joo, spokesperson for the Ministry of Unification, said at a regular briefing that, "North Korea must immediately cease its unilateral acts of tension that go against peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and do not contribute to the development of inter-Korean relations."
He added, "The government is closely monitoring North Korea's related movements based on close South Korea-U.S. cooperation and is preparing for all possibilities," urging North Korea to respond to dialogue.

Regarding the identification of circumstances where North Korea is dismantling the Kumgangsan Haegumgang Hotel owned by Hyundai Asan, he stated, "There should be no unilateral measures infringing on the property rights of our companies, and all matters should be resolved through inter-Korean consultations," noting that North Korea has not provided any additional notifications related to the dismantling so far.
