Gwangju Gwangsan-gu Hyewoomaru Small Library Selected for 'Culture Day' Contest
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 10th that the public small library ‘Hyewoommaru Small Library’ has been selected for the ‘Small Library Culture Day’ contest project.
‘Small Library Culture Day’ is a project aimed at improving local access to culture and arts and increasing the usage rate of small libraries. It is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Children and Small Library Association.
Hyewoommaru Small Library was the only one selected in the Gwangju area.
From next month until November, a total of six sessions will be held, operating the ‘Culture Day Week’ on the last week of each month to support cultural and artistic activities of small libraries.
In the ongoing COVID-19 situation, a healing program will be planned and operated to help local residents, who are exhausted, reflect on the meaning of life and gain vitality in their daily lives.
