Daejeon City Recruiting Businesses and Youth for 'Kkum-Irum Job' Project Participation
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City is recruiting businesses and youth to participate in the ‘Daejeon Youth Dream Job Support Project.’
According to the city on the 10th, this project is being promoted after the city was selected last year in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s regional-led youth job contest.
Youth from the region who participate in the project will receive specialized training next month and up to two people will be assigned to one workplace for eight months starting in May. At this time, the workplace where the youth will work is expected to receive labor cost support of around 2 million KRW per month.
Fifteen social economy organizations or non-profit organizations will be given priority recruitment, and 22 local youth aged 18 to 39 will be selected and assigned to each workplace, supporting labor costs and job training expenses through the workplaces.
Businesses wishing to participate in the project can apply through the Daejeon Biz website, the city’s small and medium enterprise support portal, by the 15th of this month, and youth can apply by the 21st.
For more details, refer to the Daejeon Biz announcement or contact the Youth Support Team at the Daejeon Job and Economic Promotion Agency.

Park Mun-yong, Director of the Youth and Family Bureau of the city, said, “Existing job projects have not properly reflected the changing needs of local youth, and it is true that participating companies and organizations have also struggled to find suitable talent in a changing environment. We hope that the Daejeon Dream Job Support Project will overcome these limitations and provide practical help to local youth and businesses.”
