Jang Deok-hyun, CEO of Samsung Electro-Mechanics, mentioned the two growth pillars?next-generation IT products and automotive products?as the growth engines where the company is focusing its business capabilities.
According to Samsung Electro-Mechanics on the 10th, CEO Jang said at a recent media event, "Samsung Electro-Mechanics aims to be a top-tier component technology company supporting technological innovation," adding, "Specifically, we have three main business sectors: multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC), camera modules, and semiconductor substrates."
He continued, "Many people ask about Samsung Electro-Mechanics' future growth engines, and we have two growth pillars," saying, "One pillar is next-generation IT products such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud & servers, and the metaverse, and the other is automotive products like electric vehicles and autonomous driving."
CEO Jang explained that Samsung Electro-Mechanics' flagship product, MLCC, has become an essential core component in various IT sectors and next-generation automobiles, and that the camera modules are used globally in smartphones as well as in autonomous driving and the metaverse, collaborating with leading companies worldwide. He also noted that Samsung Electro-Mechanics is the only company possessing all technologies from camera design to manufacturing, lenses, and actuators, and that in semiconductor substrates, it has the technological capabilities and production capacity required for 5G, AI, and cloud technologies, continuing a solid growth trend.
