20s Arrested for Killing Cohabiting Partner with Bladed Weapon: "Argued Over Privacy Issues"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] A man in his 20s who stabbed his cohabiting girlfriend to death with a weapon has been arrested by the police.
Incheon Namdong Police Station announced on the 9th that they had urgently detained A (26, male) on suspicion of murder.
A is accused of stabbing B (22, female), who was living with him, multiple times with a weapon at a villa in Namdong-gu, Incheon, around 8:30 a.m. that day, causing her death.
About 1 hour and 26 minutes after the crime, at 9:56 a.m., he called 112 himself, saying, "I killed someone." Police who responded to the scene urgently arrested A, who was inside the villa.
During the police investigation, A reportedly stated that he committed the crime after an argument over B's personal relationships and private matters.
The police are investigating the exact circumstances before and after A's crime, and plan to request an arrest warrant for A on the 10th.

A police official said, "It is presumed that only A and B were in the villa at the time of the incident," and added, "We plan to request an autopsy of B's body from the National Forensic Service."
