Hanjin Affiliate 'Hanguk Gonghang' Adds Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Business Purpose
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Korean Airport, a subsidiary of Hanjin Group, is planning to enter the electric vehicle charging business.
According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system on the 8th, Korean Airport will add new business purposes at the regular shareholders' meeting scheduled for the 23rd. They plan to include 'electricity sales business,' 'new electric business,' and 'electric vehicle charging business and all related businesses.'
The company explained that the addition of these business purposes is for business diversification. Korean Airport currently operates ground handling services for airlines such as Korean Air and Jin Air at domestic airports.

A company representative stated, "Nothing has been specifically decided yet," and added, "Electric vehicles may enter workplaces such as headquarters or maintenance facilities, and we are considering installing electric vehicle chargers in such locations."
