At 10 a.m. that day, Candidate Yoon said at the Dongmun Rotary Square in Jeju City, "Thanks to you, I, who do not know the political grammar or political calculations of Yeouido, have completed a marathon journey of several months and have now entered the stadium for the final race," adding, "The Democratic Party is saying that if I become president, they can impeach me with 180 seats. Please give me a chance to change the country."
He continued, "I will honestly keep my promises and responsibly bring change to Jeju Island," emphasizing, "I am different from those selfish political forces who have only made promises to Jeju for a long time and have betrayed the expectations of the people of Jeju."
He also stated, "The 4th industrial revolution can be led as long as small research institutes and networks are established. Jeju Island is the optimal location," and added, "I am conducting extensive research with Won Hee-ryong, the policy chief who served as Jeju governor, and we will support this at the national level."
Furthermore, he said, "By establishing a tourism office in Jeju, we will transform Jeju tourism from mere leisure tourism into a sophisticated tourism where people can study and learn about natural history, culture, and anthropology," asserting, "Thus, we will transform it into a tourism area where parents from Korea, Asia, and the world bring their children to study and broaden their horizons."
Along with this, he promised, "We will create good systems so that the swift promotion of the 2nd airport and Jeju Haedong agricultural products can have market competitiveness," and pledged, "The 4·3 compensation issue will be boldly reviewed for the dignity of the Republic of Korea and the spirit of the constitution."
He then added, "We must change the country and bring new change and leap forward to Jeju Island. For this new change, please vote without missing a single person tomorrow," and concluded, "I, Yoon Seok-yeol, will responsibly and honestly change Jeju."
Meanwhile, after finishing the campaign in Jeju, Candidate Yoon will immediately move on to conduct the final campaign schedule on the Gyeongbu Line, heading to Busan, Daegu, Daejeon, and then Seoul on the same day.
