[Asia Economy Reporter Seomibeum Seo] The National Library for Children and Young Adults will start the first meeting of the youth reading club 'Saenggak Nanumteo' on the 12th. This club is aimed at promoting a reading culture among youth and will be held both online and offline on the second Saturday of every month.
'Saenggak Nanumteo' is a program where 30 middle school students share their thoughts through monthly reading discussions and write book reviews recommending the books they have read to share with their peers.
This year, author Jeong Myeongseop will be invited to lead sessions on the theme "What can be gained from books and living a good life." Participants will read 10 themed books together, including 'Sunrye Jutaek' and 'Gyeongnidoen Ai,' and learn about in-depth reading and writing.
Detailed information about the 'Peer Recommended Books' suggested by participants of 'Saenggak Nanumteo' will be released through the National Library for Children and Young Adults' website and social networking services (SNS).
