Special Measures Period from March 5 to April 17
Gyeongsangnam-do held a meeting with city and county wildfire officials on the 7th to prepare measures for large-scale spring wildfires.

On the 7th, Gyeongnam Province held a meeting with city and county wildfire officials to share plans for spring large-scale wildfire countermeasures.
The province plans to switch to an emergency duty system by extending the operating hours of city and county wildfire prevention headquarters and strengthen field-centered wildfire prevention activities.
Joint weekend patrols by the province and cities/counties will be conducted, nighttime inspections will be more thorough to prevent burning after sunset, and firefighting resources such as seven leased firefighting helicopters and 3,190 personnel will be strategically operated to focus on initial response.
A provincial official said, “It is necessary to conduct inspections without blind spots and to make quick and accurate judgments at the site of the fire.”
