On the morning of the same day, President Moon visited the evacuation shelter for disaster victims set up at the Uljin National Sports Center in Gyeongbuk. President Moon told the residents, "Losing your homes overnight must bring an indescribable sense of loss," and added, "The government will do its best to ensure swift recovery so that residents can return to their daily lives."
He emphasized, "The fastest way the government can help is by declaring a special disaster zone so that the state can directly undertake the recovery."
