Recruitment for Participants in the 'Geumcheon Youth CEO Project'
Recruitment of Participants for Youth Startup CEO Program until March 31... Providing Experience of Growing Together with Society through Integrated Education in Economics, Character, and Career
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) is recruiting participants for the "Geumcheon Youth CEO Project" until March 31.
The "Geumcheon Youth CEO Project" is a specialized program of Geumcheon-gu designed to help youth establish economic awareness and cultivate entrepreneurial spirit through startup experience. It is conducted in collaboration with the Geumcheon Youth Center (Director Yoo Hyung-woo) and has been ongoing for four years since 2019.
Last year, under the theme "Geumcheon Silhak Scholar Jeong(Jik)·Yak(Sok)·Yong(Gi)," participating youth researched, produced, and sold items needed by neighbors and society, fostering interest in the local community and encouraging social participation, resulting in very high satisfaction.
This year, through "Geumcheon Silhak Scholar Jeong Yak-yong Youth CEO Season 2," the project aims to alleviate the vague difficulties associated with startups and enable participants to realize their potential as CEOs by conducting ▲orientation (activity introduction) ▲comprehensive startup education (economics, character education, and item discussion) ▲group capacity building (practical production of items for the free market) ▲startup simulation (free market sales).
Eligibility includes youth aged 12 to 19 (grades 5 to 12 and out-of-school youth) residing in Geumcheon-gu or attending schools located in Geumcheon-gu. Applications can be submitted individually or in groups of 3 to 6 people by filling out a Google survey. The application can be easily made by scanning the QR code on the promotional poster found in the announcements section of the Geumcheon Youth Center website.
All proceeds from sales at the free market will be donated to socially vulnerable youth in Geumcheon-gu. Participating youth will learn about corporate social responsibility by understanding that profits generated through community support are returned to society.
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "I hope this meaningful activity will provide youth with an opportunity to grow together with the community, enhancing their entrepreneurial skills and sense of community," and added, "We will continue to support Geumcheon-gu youth to grow into future talents representing the local community."
