[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, condemned North Korea's missile launch on the 5th, stating, "We strongly condemn acts that create tension on the Korean Peninsula."
On the same day, Lee wrote on social media (SNS), "As the whole world criticizes Russia's invasion of Ukraine, nothing can be gained through force. I urge the cessation of all kinds of acts that create tension."
He added, "Firm security and strong defense capabilities are fundamental to protecting the lives and safety of the people," and said, "I hope our military will take measures to maintain a full security posture so that the public does not feel uneasy."
