Ministry of Land and Ministry of Oceans to Implement Excellent Logistics New Technology Designation System in First Half of Year... Applications Accepted from 7th
[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced on the 6th that they will announce the implementation plan for the first half of the year for the 'Excellent Logistics New Technology Designation System,' which supports the development of new technologies in the logistics sector, on the 7th of this month.
This system was introduced to certify new technologies developed by the private sector through the government and to foster and disseminate them through administrative and financial support. Application fields include logistics technology areas such as logistics transportation, storage, cargo handling, packaging, logistics system informatization, and standardization. Both corporations and individuals possessing logistics technology can apply.
The logistics new technology designation system has been operated separately by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries since 2020, and from this year, the two ministries plan to announce jointly to improve administrative efficiency.
The initial designation period for excellent logistics new technology is five years from the date of designation, and the extension period will be determined within a five-year range based on the review results. The two ministries will form an evaluation committee to make the final decision on excellent logistics new technology through technical reviews and on-site inspections.
