View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Honam University announced on the 4th that Professor Choi Yoon-ha of the Department of Nursing (Department Head Ha Yoon-joo) was selected for the 2022 First Half Basic Science and Engineering Research Project - New Life-First Research Project supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Research Foundation of Korea.
The 'Life-First Research Project' is a program that provides research opportunities and strengthens research fields by supporting research funding for up to three years for promising early-career researchers with excellent capabilities.
Through this project, Professor Choi Yoon-ha will receive research funding of about 60 million KRW over two years to conduct a study titled "Development and Effect Verification of Disaster Nursing PBL Online VR Content to Enhance Clinical Practice Competency of Nursing Students."

Professor Choi Yoon-ha stated, "PBL-based VR content has the advantage of increasing nursing students' learning immersion and enabling self-directed learning by allowing them to proactively understand and experience disaster situations that are difficult to encounter in real life through a virtual space." She added, "With the ongoing With-Corona era, we must prepare for unexpected disaster situations, and the goal is to develop content that can help acquire knowledge and skills applicable in actual clinical settings to strengthen clinical practice competency and verify its effectiveness."
