The vending machines were installed in outdoor restrooms and restrooms on the 1st and 2nd floors of the management building, designed to dispense items automatically when the right switch is pressed.
To reduce indiscriminate use and ensure that only those in need can use them, the switch can be pressed every 30 seconds.
Each machine contains about 60 pads, 30 on the top and 30 on the bottom, and the cleaning contractors for each restroom regularly check and replenish the supply.
A city official said, "Menstruation usually occurs once a month, but cycles can be irregular and start unexpectedly, leaving some unprepared," adding, "The vending machines were installed so that anyone can use them without panic."
