Citibank Korea announced on the 4th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hyundai Engineering & Construction on the 24th of last month at Hyundai Engineering & Construction’s headquarters in Jongno-gu, Seoul, for "global business expansion and ESG value implementation."
Accordingly, Citibank Korea will actively support Hyundai Engineering & Construction’s overseas market penetration while sharing relevant information and experiences to strengthen the relationship and enhance cooperation between the two companies for sustainable growth and ESG value implementation.
Last year, Citibank Korea solely underwrote syndicated financing for a consortium of domestic construction companies, including Hyundai Engineering & Construction, participating in the Panama Metro Line 3 construction project. The MOU was signed based on an understanding of Hyundai Engineering & Construction’s overseas construction market bidding strategy and local financing.
