[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] Public officials in Sacheon-si, Gyeongnam held a ‘Integrity Resolution Meeting’ to eradicate corruption and realize a clean Sacheon.
At the city hall auditorium, they pledged through the ‘Anti-corruption and Integrity Practice Resolution’ to strive to eradicate corruption in the public service and create an honest and friendly public service culture so that citizens’ trust in city administration can be built.
The resolution includes five points: compliance with the public officials’ code of conduct, prohibition of receiving money and entertainment, refusal of improper orders or solicitations, implementation of customer satisfaction administration, and creation of a trustworthy public service society.
The city has been making every effort to create an honest and communicative organizational culture aiming for the highest integrity grade by continuously promoting activities expressing integrity, starting with a campaign not to give or receive gifts during the last Lunar New Year holiday.
In fact, various policies are being implemented to realize a clean Sacheon, such as operating a self-directed integrity learning system, running a civilian secret inspector system for public service inspection, holding integrity concerts, and conducting promotional campaigns to spread an integrity culture.
