Sacheon-si Invests 9.8 Billion KRW in Youth Policies to Promote Highly Impactful Initiatives
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Ju Cheol-in] Sacheon City, Gyeongnam Province, is investing 9.8 billion KRW to implement youth policies with high impact, including housing, living, startup, and job support.
On the 3rd, Sacheon City announced that it will promote the '2022 Youth Policy Implementation Plan' to guarantee youth rights to participate, enjoy, and settle.
Accordingly, the city plans to invest 9.8 billion KRW in 31 projects across five major areas: strengthening youth policies, supporting youth housing and living, enhancing job support, revitalizing culture and leisure activities, and creating youth spaces.
The youth policy strengthening area includes three projects such as ▲Youth Center Creation Project Contest and ▲Activation of Youth Policy Governance, while the job support enhancement area includes 17 projects such as ▲Field-customized Aviation MRO Workforce Training Project and ▲University Student Summer Part-time Jobs.
The youth housing and living support area includes five projects such as ▲Customized Youth Housing Support, ▲Youth Monthly Rent Support, and ▲Dormitory Fee Support for Incoming University Students. The culture and leisure activity revitalization area includes five projects such as ▲Support for Youth Sports and Culture Activation and ▲Creation and Tourism Resource Development of Youth Culture Street.
The youth space creation area includes one project: ▲Operation of Sacheon Youth Space.
The city will expand and implement the youth monthly rent support project, which was first launched last year, and also promote projects to revitalize young farmers, such as the Young Farmer Direct Payment System and Young Successor Farmer Settlement Support Project.
