Patent Office Announces Open Recruitment for Computer Examination Division Chief and Patent Tribunal Judges
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) announced on the 3rd that it will select the Head of the Computer Examination Division and the Trial Examiner (Mechanical Field) of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board through an open recruitment for public positions in cooperation with the Ministry of Personnel Management.
The Head of the Computer Examination Division is a manager-level position responsible for examining intellectual property rights in the field of computer technology, conducting trend surveys in the relevant field, organizing examination materials, and handling examination-related civil complaints. Applicants must have expertise in the intellectual property rights field related to computer technology.
The Trial Examiner of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board is a manager-level position that reviews and proceeds with patent trial requests in the mechanical field and conducts research and investigations related to the patent trial system. Applicants must have expertise in examination, trial, and litigation related to intellectual property rights in the mechanical field.
The open recruitment announcement and document submission period is from the 2nd to the 17th of this month.
