The Vehicle Carbon Point Program is a system that compares the average daily driving distance from the initial vehicle registration to before joining with the average daily driving distance during the participation period, and provides incentives of up to 100,000 KRW based on the reduction performance.
This year's project budget has been secured at 196 million KRW, a 367% increase from 42 million KRW in 2021, recruiting 3,940 vehicles, more than the 743 vehicles last year.
Only one vehicle per owner can participate, and only non-commercial passenger cars and vans with 12 seats or fewer are eligible. Vehicles owned by corporations or organizations, commercial vehicles, and eco-friendly vehicles such as electric, hybrid, and hydrogen cars are excluded.
Applicants wishing to participate must sign up on the Vehicle Carbon Point Program website, click the URL sent via text message, and submit photos of the vehicle license plate, odometer showing cumulative mileage, and vehicle registration certificate.
For used cars or jointly owned vehicles, the vehicle registration certificate must be additionally obtained for free from the Government24 website and submitted.
