Embassy of Ukraine in Korea Opens 'Won Special Account' Publicly
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] The Embassy of Ukraine in Korea has disclosed a domestic donation account through its official Facebook page.
According to diplomatic sources on the 2nd, the Embassy of Ukraine in Korea announced on its Facebook account that it has opened a special won account (Hana Bank) for humanitarian aid related to Russia's territorial invasion.
Earlier, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, support efforts have continued worldwide, and the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) opened a special donation account for supporting the Ukrainian military on the 24th of last month.
However, as the situation in Ukraine has been rapidly changing and concerns arose about instability when sending donations domestically and internationally, the Embassy of Ukraine in Korea opened a Hana Bank account and shared it through SNS this time.
Meanwhile, on SNS, information including lists of Ukrainian support sites and remittance methods is being actively shared.
