View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Hwang Hyun-sik, CEO of LG Uplus, visited the exhibition booths of global big tech companies and telecommunications equipment vendors at the 'Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2022' held in Barcelona, Spain on the 28th (local time).
CEO Hwang first visited Qualcomm's booth, where he received an explanation about the downlink 4CA (carrier aggregation) technology achievable in 5G standalone mode (SA), and observed models such as the Mars exploration vehicle 'Ingenuity Helicopter' equipped with Qualcomm chips.
At the Amazon Web Services booth, he was guided through the 5G network implemented via cloud infrastructure. CEO Hwang then observed the movements of Boston Dynamics' robot 'Spot,' remotely controlled through Amazon Cloud.
At the Samsung Electronics booth, he experienced new devices such as the 'Galaxy Book2 Pro' and 'Galaxy Tab S8' under the guidance of No Tae-moon, President of the MX Division.
At Nokia's booth, he received an explanation about new DU equipment that lowers the temperature of water-cooled concentrators and experienced a digital showroom where virtual clothing can be tried on in real time in front of a smart mirror.
