Top Strategy for University Admissions in the 2023~2024 Academic Year?
Yongsan-gu to Host '2023-2024 Academic Year College Admission Briefing' with Lee Young-deok, Director of Daesung Academic Development Institute, on March 21 from 4 to 5:30 PM
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Yongsan-gu (Mayor Seong Chang-hyun) will hold the '2023-2024 Academic Year College Admission Information Session' on March 21 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
The session will be available through the district office's YouTube channel.
The lecturer is Lee Young-deok, Director of Daesung Academic Development Research Institute. He will introduce everything about college admissions, including the latest admission process analysis and strategies. Any interested residents and students can watch the video for free.
Pre-registration is available from 9:00 AM on March 2 via the Yongsan-gu Education Comprehensive Portal. Only those who pre-register will receive related materials.
On the day of the session, the lecturer will answer questions submitted during pre-registration. The related video will be posted on YouTube until March 31.
The district will also conduct '1:1 Customized College Counseling' on March 24 (for 12th graders), March 29 (for 11th graders), and March 31 (for 10th graders) from 6:30 PM to 9:40 PM.
Through the online video conferencing program (Zoom), teachers from the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's College Admission Guidance Support Team will provide 40-minute counseling sessions per student. The main content includes designing school records tailored to desired universities and departments, as well as other admission counseling.
High school students residing in the area or currently enrolled in high school who wish to participate can apply via the district education comprehensive portal starting at 9:00 AM on March 2. A total of 120 participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to Yongsan-gu residents.

Seong Chang-hyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, stated, "College counseling, where students and parents can receive customized advice together, is very popular," and added, "This year, the number of counseling participants has increased by about 300% compared to last year."
