On the 28th, Foreign Minister Chung Eui-yong held a video call with Wang Yi, China's Foreign Minister, during which they "exchanged opinions on ways to promptly bring North Korea back to dialogue," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
The Ministry stated that during the call, Minister Chung and Minister Wang "shared assessments of the recent situation on the Korean Peninsula and agreed on the necessity and importance of early reprocessing of the peace process on the Korean Peninsula."
The two ministers agreed to strengthen practical cooperation in various fields closely related to citizens' lives, including ▲ stable management of supply chains such as raw materials ▲ activation of cultural content exchanges ▲ environmental issues.
Regarding the "Ukraine situation," Minister Chung condemned Russia's armed invasion of Ukraine, which violates the principles of the UN Charter, stating that the use of force causing innocent casualties can never be justified under any circumstances, and that Ukraine's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence must be respected. Based on this, the government has joined the international community's sanctions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
