A man in his 50s was arrested by the police on charges of killing his cousin's wife with a weapon in Gimje, Jeonbuk.

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] A man in his 50s was arrested by the police on suspicion of stabbing his cousin's wife multiple times with a weapon and killing her in Gimje, Jeonbuk.
According to the Gimje Police Station in Jeonbuk on the 27th, Mr. A (59), who was urgently detained on suspicion of murder, admitted to the crime, saying, "I lent money to my cousin's wife a long time ago, but she did not pay it back, so I did it in a fit of anger."
Mr. A is accused of stabbing his cousin's wife, Ms. B (59), with a weapon at a villa in Geumsan-myeon, Gimje City, at around 3:50 a.m. on the 25th.
After the crime, he fled by car but was caught by the police who tracked CCTV footage at a rest area for drowsy drivers on a highway in Gangwon Province.
According to the investigation, Mr. A, who was experiencing financial difficulties due to a recent business failure, had visited his cousin's wife in Gimje several days before the crime to demand repayment of the debt. The amount owed was estimated to be several tens of millions of won.
