According to SR on the 26th, CEO Lee conducted an inspection at Suseo Station on the 24th to identify and improve unsafe areas with potential risk of major industrial accidents. He inspected confined spaces such as sewage treatment tanks, checking safety education before work, safety work permit procedures, hazardous gas measurements, and the use of checklists.
CEO Lee urged, “Confined spaces pose a risk of major accidents due to suffocation, so please make thorough efforts to prevent major industrial accidents by ventilating before work, working in pairs, securing emergency contact systems, and assigning supervisors when subcontractor employees are working.”
Additionally, to prevent major public accidents, he inspected customer flow lines at Suseo Station and checked the improvements made to the risky area identified during last month’s inspection?the platform-end track entry space?such as installation of double doors, posting warning signs, voice alarms, and derailment prevention devices.
Meanwhile, SR designates the 24th of every month as Company-wide Safety Inspection Day, where executives directly conduct thorough on-site inspections with field staff to proactively eliminate risk factors for major accidents.
