Gwangju Fire Department Conducts 'Special Rescue Training' to Enhance Expertise at Traffic Accident Scenes
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan Fire Safety Headquarters will conduct special rescue training in preparation for traffic accidents.
According to the Gwangju Fire Headquarters on the 25th, last year they responded to 1,376 traffic accident rescue scenes and saved 239 people. Among these, car-to-car traffic accidents accounted for the largest proportion with 651 cases (47.31%).
Accordingly, to improve professionalism, Gwangju Fire Headquarters initiated this training targeting 82 rescue workers over three sessions starting from this day.
The focus was on enhancing efficient response capabilities and professionalism through rapid life rescue according to various types of traffic accidents, as well as improving expertise and the ability to use rescue equipment.
Using rescue equipment such as hydraulic rescue tools, airbags, and center punches, the training is conducted mainly through practical exercises by setting various scenarios including ▲ dismantling accident vehicles ▲ vehicle stabilization and support for safe work ▲ breaking vehicle glass ▲ rescuing lives inside vehicles.
