Haenam-gun, Tourism Souvenir Contest... Total Prize Money 10 Million Won

[Haenam＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] On the 25th, Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will hold a tourism souvenir contest to promote the value of the region.

The county is calling for craft or manufactured products that utilize Haenam's tourism and cultural resources, characters, etc., which can be sold to domestic and international tourists.

The contest is open to individuals and companies without regional restrictions, and among the submitted works, 10 pieces will be selected to receive a total prize of 10 million KRW: 3 million KRW for grand prize, 1.5 million KRW for excellence prize, 1 million KRW for encouragement prize, and 250,000 KRW for idea prize.

The submission period is one month from August 1 to 31, and up to three entries can be submitted. Similar products that have already been commercialized, prize-winning works from other contests, and products difficult to commercialize as tourism souvenirs are restricted from entry. In addition, for high-priced souvenirs, plans for commercialization and mass production must be presented.

The county plans to support the exhibition and sale of the final selected works in the county's tourism souvenir sales center in October, and will actively provide support for product promotion and marketing.

Individuals or companies wishing to participate can check the county website's notices or announcements or the Haenam Culture and Tourism website's news section.

A county official said, "We hope that works that succinctly express Haenam's unique characteristics and charm will be developed through the contest," and added, "We will actively strive to discover representative tourism souvenirs of Haenam that can commemorate and remember a trip to Haenam."
