40 Years of Environmental Policy at a Glance... 2021 Environmental White Paper Published
[Asia Economy Sejong=Reporter Dongwoo Lee] The Ministry of Environment announced on the 25th that it has published the '2021 Environmental White Paper,' which comprehensively covers the achievements of various environmental policies promoted by the government from 2020 to 2021, as well as this year's environmental policy implementation plans.
First published in 1982 and marking its 40th year this year, the Environmental White Paper systematically records the major contents of environmental policies implemented so far, enabling academia, civil society, and local governments to easily understand environmental policies.
The 2021 Environmental White Paper contains detailed policy implementation contents and trends, including the achievements of environmental policy promotion so far, newly established or strengthened carbon neutrality implementation foundations, the Green New Deal, and integrated water management from 2020 to 2021 in Parts 1 and 2. Part 3 introduces this year's environmental policy implementation plans.
The 2021 Environmental White Paper will be distributed to administrative agencies at all levels, educational institutions such as universities, and national and public libraries, and will be sold for a fee at major bookstores nationwide starting at the end of this month. Additionally, the full text is posted as image files on the Ministry of Environment's website from today and can be downloaded for free.
