Hana Financial Group Launches 'Seonblur Campaign' to Protect the Environment
Practicing ESG Management for 'Finance that Grows Together and Shares Happiness'
[Asia Economy Reporter Sim Nayoung] Hana Financial Group (Chairman Kim Jung-tae) announced on the 25th that it will carry out the 'Seon(善)blur Campaign' until the 18th of next month to continuously and sincerely practice ESG management, following last year.
Hana Bank launched the 'Seonblur Campaign' in March 2021 to participate in environmental protection by reducing disposable waste amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, which caused a surge in disposable product usage. In particular, this campaign is part of Hana Financial Group's ESG management efforts to protect the environment by encouraging employees and customers to actively reduce disposable cup waste in line with the government's deposit system for disposable cups, which will be implemented in June this year.
Through this campaign, Hana Financial Group encourages both employees and customers to use the eco-friendly tumbler called 'Seonblur,' which is easy to participate in, and also conducts simple and fun events for participants. The group offers small gifts through a lottery to participants who upload certification photos of using tumblers at offices, schools, cafes, and other places on their personal SNS.

Additionally, Hana Financial Group plans to promote the campaign through a promotional video in the form of a plotagon, which has recently gained popularity among the MZ generation, on the group's official YouTube channel, HanaTV. Plotagon is a platform that creates videos using avatars made by users themselves, and videos featuring avatars speaking awkward Korean have become popular among the MZ generation on YouTube.
